Everyone was in high spirits during the premiere ofAng Tanging Ina Mo: Last Na ‘To held last December 20, 2010 at Cinema 6 of SM Megamall. Lead star and undisputed Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas was escorted to the event by no less than Piolo Pascual (who is rumored to be her next leading man in a yet undisclosed movie). Other Kapamilya artists who showed up to give their support to the movie included Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Toni Gonzaga. ABS-CBN top executives Charo Santos-Concio, Cory Vidanes, and Malou Santos were also there to grace the affair.

In the third and final installment to the successful Tanging Ina series, Ai-Ai reunites with her children Marvin Agustin, Nikki Valdez, Kaye Abad, and Marc Acueza who all make a return appearance. Another comedic treat is the return of Tonton Gutierrez, Jestoni Alarcon, and Dennis Padilla who had all previously played the role of Ina Montecillo’s dearly departed hubbies. Comedian Empoy made his mark as Shaina Magdayao’s hilarious husband-to-be. The cast is rounded out with the inclusion of child superstar Xyriel Manabat along with Owie Boy Gapuz.

Ina Montecillo has come a long way from raising her 12 children from the first movie to becoming president of the country in the second one. Now, as she goes back to being a humble citizen and mother, Ina must face a new kind of personal challenge. After finding out that she has a terminal illness and only has a few months to live, Ina must find the best possible way to break the news to her brood. Top comedienne Eugene Domingo also adds to the laughs as Ina’s best friend Rowena, who is secretly carrying on with a romance with one of Ina’s bodyguards named Felix, who is played by Fil-Brit hunk Jon Avila. As Ina comes to terms with her own mortality, she exerts all her effort to get her children’s lives in order at the same time. What follows is an incredibly wacky yet touching journey that proves that she is indeed the picture of a “nata-tanging” ina.

Catch Ang Taning Ina Mo, last Na ‘To in the Metro manila Film Festival as it opens on December 25 in all theaters nationwide.
