Serving as a guest ‘hurado’ for this week on Showtime, Aiai Delas Alas was moved to tears today on live TV when the program’s resident judge Vice Ganda read a text message forwarded to him by Star Cinema Advertising and Promo Mico Del Rosario. The message was from Heart Evangelista, who extended her deep and sincere apology to Aiai for not being part of the movie Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na ‘To which had its star-studded premiere last night at the SM Megamall.

“My dear Tanging Ina family and Tita Aiai, thank you so much for the chance to be with old co-workers and friends and also to be part of the movie with a special role. I’m deeply sorry for the outcome and I just wanted to let you all know that I really was looking forward to be part (of the movie) even for a day. God bless and I miss you all,”
went Heart’s message as read by Vice.

When Star Cinema and director Wenn Deramas agreed to do a third and final installment of the Tanging Inamovie franchise as an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, the plan was to have all of the original actors who played Aiai’s children in the film to come together again for one last time. Marvin Agustin, who is already a contract star GMA 7, got permission from his bosses to reprise his role as Aiai’s eldest son in the movie. But Heart, who is also with Marvin in the said network, was pulled out from the project due to conflicts in her schedule. Aiai was deeply disappointed and was said to have harbored a hurt feeling over Heart.

Aiai was speechless for a while upon hearing Heart’s text read by Vice. She was then moved to tears and said, “Dahil nagso-sorry ka naman, in the spirit of Christmas. Heart, we miss you, anakSana kasama ka namin salast ng Tanging InaPero ganun talaga. Anyway, Merry Christmas, Heart. God bless. Heart, anak, I love you!”

Also a guest ‘hurado’ on Showtime, Kris Aquino, being a veteran talk show host and a close friend of Aiai, went on to ask the actress why right after the premiere night of Tanging Ina she was seen crying. Siyempre, after Tanging Ina 1, and 2, na minahal ninyo, ngayon 3. Lahat ng pagwawakas ay nakakalungkot talaga lalo na kung naging malaking bahagi ‘yun ng buhay mo.  Pero sabi nila, we have to move on.”

In an interview with Push.com.ph right after the premiere night, Aiai clarified that she is not blaming Heart for what happened. “Na-miss ko rin naman ‘yung anak kong ‘yunPanghihinayang na lang ang nararamdaman ko kasi sayang talaga. Last na ito kaya gusto ko sana na makasama siya para makumpleto lahat ng mga anak ko. Nakita ninyo naman sa movie kung bakit importante na makumpleto kaming lahat uli.”

But it seems that there is still hope to do this dreamed reunion because, as Aiai revealed on Showtime, for she got word from ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio right after the premiere night that there just might be room for one more Tanging Ina. “Pero sabi naman ni Ma’am Charo, tingnan natin baka sakaling, baka lang naman, may Tanging Ina 4: Last na Last na Talaga! Hindi po natin alam pero abangan na lang natin ang gagawin ng Star Cinema.”

The Box Office Comedy Queen also hinted who her leading man might be in this proposed Tanging Ina 4 movie. “Maraming maraming salamat kay Piolo Pascual na aking escort kagabi. Malay natin baka kasama ko na si Piolo sa susunod kong pelikula. Abangan natin.
