Vhong Navarro is excited about having Kris Aquino as a guest judge on ‘Showtime’

Kris Aquino was not ashamed to admit that she is willing do almost anything and everything to ensure her Metro Manila Film Festival entry Dalaw, a movie she top-bills and co-produced, will earn big time at the box-office. That’s why during the press conference for Dalaw, she revealed to reporters that she has happily agreed to be a guest judge in the noontime talent search and variety program Showtime. The Queen of All Media is scheduled to appear on the show from December 20 to 24 to promote Dalaw which will open nationwide on the 25th.

When Push.com.ph visited the thanksgiving party for the teleserye Kokey @ Ako, lead star and Showtime host Vhong Navarro shared his excitement about their new hurado. “Nagka-BBM (Blackberry Messaging) nga kami, sabi niya na tuloy na tuloy na ang pagiging guest hurado niya sa Showtime. ‘Paghandaan niyo ako!’ sabi niya.”

Vhong added that having the multi-awarded TV personality like Kris will definitely make the Christmas week of Showtime ultra special. “Sobrang excited na talaga ako. Una sa lahat sobrang excited na ang buong Showtimefamily na maging guest hurado namin si Ms. Kris. Aquino. Kapag nakasama na namin siya ibig sabihin lang nun magiging mas espesyal ang Showtime.”

He shared the reason he and the other Showtime stars love Kris so much is because they all know she is a loyal viewer of the program. “Lagi namin siyang binabati sa Showtime kasi alam naming lahat na lagi siyang nanonood. Kahit na lately ay napaka-busy niya dahil sa shooting ng Dalaw. We love you talaga, Ms. Kris!”

Aside from hosting Showtime six days a week, Vhong is also busy shooting the suspense-comedy film Bulongwith Angelica Panganiban tentatively scheduled for release early next year. 2011 will be a thrilling year according to Vhong because of the other projects lined up for him, one of which is a movie with her wacky Kanto Boys friends Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, and John Lloyd Cruz.

 “Excited ako kasi nasabi na sa amin na may plano raw for next year na movie para sa aming Kanto Boys. ‘Yung friendship naming apat kasi totoo talaga. Sa ASAP lagi kaming nagkukulitan. Maganda kung makakagawa kami ng pelikula para at least may maipakita naman kaming iba. Gusto naman namin ng panlalaki na istorya. Pero siyempre hindi natin kakalimutan ang mga kababaihan. Kikiligin pa rin sila dun sa tatlo. Sigurado namang walang kikiligin sa akin, ha ha ha!”
