Gerald excited to work with Jewel, Sarah

After 4 long years of teaming up with actress Kim Chiu, young actor Gerald Anderson said he is ready to be paired with new leading ladies.

During the house blessing ceremonies at his new home in General Santos City on Wednesday, Anderson shared his excitement over new projects with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo and newest Kapamilya star Jewel Mische.

For 2011, The Fil-Am hottie is set to do a film with Geronimo and a primetime fantaserye titled "Bagwis" with Mische.

"Excited ako sa project at excited akong makatrabaho siya (Mische). Unang-una kasi, galing siyang GMA, and 'yun, lumipat siya sa atin. Kumbaga, it's a very exciting challenge," he told ABS-CBN News.

When asked how his and Chiu's fans--dubbed the Kimeralds--accepted this news, Anderson replied: "Sana by now handa na sila, hinanda na nila 'yung sarili nila. Pero feeling ko talaga, the Kimeralds will support me and Kim kahit hindi na kami magkasama and iyon ang maganda sa kanila."

The former "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) housemate also revealed he is quite pressured to break the box-office records of the films of John Lloyd Cruz and Geronimo, namely "A Very Special Love" and "You Changed My Life". But he is hopeful that their upcoming movie will draw overwhelming support from fans.

"It's a great honor para makatrabaho ko siya. It's a new opportunity to grow. Excited makatrabaho siya, sa big screen pa. Excited ako, sobra. 'Yung pressure, sa kahit anong project meron talaga, pero 'yung excitement, mas nasasapawan 'yung pressure. Kasi excited na talaga akong makatrabaho si Sarah," he added.

Charity event

As his way of giving back for the blessings he has received, the 21-year-old actor spearheaded a charity event at an orphanage in his hometown.

Together with his former PBB housemates and close friends, Anderson played basketball with the orphans of St. Gemma's Orphanage on Thursday.

The hunk actor became a young Santa Claus as he gave away Christmas presents to the less fortunate kids in General Santos City.

"Natutuwa ako kasi sobrang lahat sila masaya eh. Ako dito rin ako nanggaling. Ito 'yung pagkakataon ko para maibalik 'yung mga naitulong nila sa akin," he ended.
