It's a 360-degree turn for "Pilipinas Got Talent" grand winner Jovit Baldivino after winning the reality talent show.
From being a street food vendor, the 16-year-old BatangueƱo is now a hit recording star.
He is also a gadget junkie as he indulges with his new gadget, an iPad.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the pop-rock star proudly shares the importance of the most-hyped device, which he uses during rehearsals and concerts.
"Pinag-ipunan ko po talaga 'to kasi po 'pag kailangan kong pag-aralan ‘yong kanta, mailalagay ko po dito 'yong lyrics tapos po 'pag nakakalimutan ko 'pag rehearsal, mayroon na rin po akong lyrics dito," he said.
Baldivino also divulged that his new iPad is a way of motivating himself. He also bought it as a gift to himself after the success of his album, “Faithfully,” which recently reached gold and platinum record.
"Kapag wala po akong ginagawa, pag wala akong libangan at ‘pag may show sa concert, kailagan ko po talaga ito,” he added.
Aside from his new gadget, the young singer is also thrilled to do series of concerts abroad.
“First time ko po ‘doon. Nakaka-excite po kasi alam ko po na maraming naghihintay na Pinoy doon sa Ireland. Pupunta rin po kami ng Canda sa [January] 16-30, then may mga concert din po ako sa Pinas. Sa Cebu po, sa Waterfront Grandballroom Hotel sa February 11,” Baldivino said.
Aside from his upcoming shows, Baldivino is also on cloud nine when told that his album made it to the Astrovision/Astroplus’s top 10 selling albums last year.
Astrovision/Astroplus is one of leading music retail stores in the country.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old singer has never forgotten to thank those who overwhelmingly supported his journey.
"Malaki po talaga ang pasasalamat ko sa kanila. Kung hindi dahil sa kanila, hindi ko po makakamit 'yong tagumpay ko at kung 'di po dahil sa kanila, wala rin po ako dito ngayon" he added.
As for his message to all “Pilipinas Got Talent 2” aspirants, Baldivino said: “Sa lahat, sana ‘wag silang
mawalang ng pag-asa. Kayang-kaya nila yan at malayo din ang mararating nila, basta magtiwala lang sa sarili.”
Duet with KC
Though having an iPad is a real dream come true for him, Baldivino’s greatest wish is to have a duet performance with Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s daughter, KC Concepcion.
“Crush ko naman po talaga siya. Humahanga po talaga ko sa kanya kasi sobrang bait niya talaga, kahit sino tanggap niya, kahit mayaman o mahirap," Baldivino said.
Although he already admitted that Concepcion is very close to his heart, Baldivino disclosed that he has no plans of wooing the host actress.
When asked what song would he like to sing with Concepcion, he suggested the song, “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough.” -Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
