Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo finally started working on their movie last January 13. Although this is their first time to work with each other, Gerald claimed that they would be able to establish a good rapport through this project. “Hindi pa kami nagkasama mag-shoot kasi magkaibang eksena kinunan namin. Siyempre siguro [magkakahiyaan kami sa umpisa], ako kasi mahiyain ako. Pero I thinkmagiging mas kumportable kami habang tumatagal,” said the actor during his recent contract signing with Star Cinema.
The two had the chance to get to know each other during their series of look tests last month. And Gerald saw for himself the good qualities that people really admire in the Popstar Princess. “She’s very humble, mabait,and excited din siya dun sa gagawin naming movie.” When asked if it’s possible for them to develop feelings for each other on the set, Gerald was quick to say that they don’t want to entertain such things at the moment. “Wala, siguro nagkataon lang na pareho kaming single. Pero kumbaga mas nagfo-focus kami sa movie kasi gusto namin maganda kalabasan.”
The fact that they’re following the success of Sarah’s box office team-up with John Lloyd Cruz is already enough pressure according to Gerald. “Of course I am also hoping to follow the footsteps of John Lloyd when it comes to his career. John Lloyd na yun, tulad ni Piolo (Pascual), kumbaga sila yung parang peg namin. Siguro ito yungfirst step para maabot ko [yung status ni John Lloyd]. Pero malayo pa yun. Madami pa akong kailangang gawin at pagdaanan. But feeling ko I am on the right track so masaya ako.”
At the end of the interview, Gerald revealed that people would see more of his daring side in this movie. “Hindi ko pa nagagawa itong role na ito, medyo mahirap at kailangan kong pag-aralan. May mga ilang sexy scenespero ‘di ko muna sasabihin yung details. Ako lang naman kasi very unique yung shoot namin last time. SiSarah abangan na lang din anong bago niyang gagawin for this movie,” he stated.
