Year 2011 starts with a bang with surprises from Kapamilya stars and among these is a remake of the Korean series “Green Rose.”
Top billed by actress Anne Curtis and actors Jake Cuenca and Jericho Rosales, viewers will again have the chance to watch the series with a Filipino twist.
“Sobrang sinubaybayan siya dati when the Korean version came out,” Curtis said.
“Ang ibig sabihin ng green rose ay eternal love. Kapag nasa heaven mo na makikita,” Cuenca added.
Portraying the role of Angela Tuazon, Curtis will give life to a sweet and quiet girl who has a very deep and rich life experience.
Cuenca, on the other hand, will play the role of Edward Funtabella who is greedy of money and power.
Rosales, meantime, shared that his character in the series does not offer just any typical drama. “'Yong character ko dito talaga si Gerome Delgado. Kailangan ko ng konting martial arts, hindi siya ordinary drama,” he shared.
Seeking to capture the television sets this February, Curtis, Cuenca and Rosales invites everyone to support and patronize “Green Rose.”
Anne and Echo on love lives
Meanwhile, Curtis and Rosales took their time to answer some questions concerning their personal lives.
During a visit of “Showbiz News Ngayon” to the “Green Rose” set, Curtis clarified that her non-showbiz boyfriend Erwan Heussaff doesn’t have any plans of joining the show business.
“Sa mga tsismis na 'yon, I’m the first to say na hindi naman totoo 'yon. But if ever that’s what he wants to do, I’m super game for it! If that’s his passion, why not? Pero I can assure you guys, hindi siya mag-aartista,” she said.
As for Rosales, he revealed that all is well now between him and former girlfriend Ceska Litton.
“We’re good. Okay kaming dalawa. Masaya 'yong Pasko, masaya 'yong Bagong Taon. Nag-exchange gifts kaming dalawa,” he shared.
