During his contract signing with Star Cinema yesterday, January 11, Gerald Anderson broke his silence about Zanjoe Marudo’s recent confirmation that he was courting Bea Alonzo whom the young actor dated last year. But as expected, Gerald refused to say much about the ongoing romance between the two. “Like I said, labas po ako d’yan. Kumbaga basta masaya ang lahat okay na yun.”
When asked if Zanjoe asked for his permission to formally court Bea, he simply replied, “Wala, wala namang ganon. Kumbaga labas ako d’yan. And pagpasok ko pa lang ng showbiz kaibigan ko na siya (Zanjoe). Basta masaya ang lahat okay na yun. I am happy for all of us.” Gerald added that he still sees Bea on ASAP, but they only usually greet each other hi and hello.
Incidentally, Kim Chiu had the chance to catch up with Gerald since she also had a contract signing with Star Cinema that same day. Despite their brief falling out last year, it was obvious with the way they kept teasing each other that there was no longer awkwardness between them. Gerald further shared that they even exchanged gifts last Christmas. “Oo naman, siyempre apat na taon kami magkasama. And sa loob ng apat na taon, yun ang ginagawa namin tuwing Pasko. Bakit naman namin ititigil yun ‘di ba? Okay naman kami ni Kim, kahit hindi kami magkasama kasi nagte-taping siya ng Your Song, ako Buhawi Jack. Minsan naman kapag nagkikita kami, nagka-catch up talaga kami.”
But is it safe to say that he’s ready to love again this 2011? “Kung ready [ba akong umibig ulit] hindi ko alam. It’s a very busy year for me lalo na ngayong first quarter of the year. Sa ngayon gusto ko maging tahimik muna at mag-focus sa trabaho.”
