“Pwede na ba kong tumakbo sa 2013?” Kris Aquino asked the crowd during her gift giving event in her hometown of Tarlac yesterday, December 15. She admitted that she indeed has plans to join the gubernatorial race after her brother, President Noynoy Aquino’s term in 2016. The Queen of All Media also mentioned that she is currently tied to her career in show business.
“I feel naman bilang isang Aquino, any political career I have in the future kelangan talaga magsimula saTarlac,” Kris stated.
Also first on Kris’ agenda is legally ending her marriage to basketball star James Yap and going back to being Miss Kris Aquino. The Dalaw star was adamant to comment on her ex-husband’s rumored relationship with actress Isabel Oli. “Ok lang. If they will or if they get closer, it’s none of my business anymore. Hindi rin naman nakikialam si James sa buhay pag-ibig ko.”
Best friend Boy Abunda, on the other hand, confirmed Kris’ statement on entering politics but emphasized that her new career will begin in 2016, not 2013 as other people thought.
“I got a lot of text messages tungkol di umano sa kanyang pagtakbo sa pulitika. She had a good line and she said, ‘I want to get into politics, I want to start in Tarlac.’ So ang tanong ng tao, totoo ba yung sinabi ni Kris? Opo totoo po. Totoo po yan, she’s serious. But she’s not running anymore in 2013. She will probably run in 2016.Ang dahilan? Sa mga isa sa palabas natin, ipapaliwanag ko,” Boy explained on Showbiz News Ngayon last night to co-host Bianca Gonzalez.
