Julia Montes summarized her year as “happy” and blessed” after she landed a major role in current hitteleserye Mara Clara. When asked what would make her happy this Christmas, the young actress asked for things not for herself but for other people. “For this Christmas bonding time lang with my family sama-sama lang kami sa bahay tapos kain. ‘Yung gift [na gusto ko is] more time lang sa family ko. Pinaka-giftko na ‘yung bonding time.” she shared. Julia also revealed that she is planning to buy stuff for less fortunate kids.
Julia shared that she is so overwhelmed by the success of Mara Clara that she could not entirely describe her feelings.
She also related that there have been many people who have been highly affected by her portrayal as the main antagonist in Mara Clara.
While she has not yet experienced facing physical threats from Mara Clara fans, Julia said she won’t take it personally because it would only prove how effective she is as an actress.
Julia said that there have been a lot of changes in her life, like being recognized by a lot of people. But she clarified that she isn’t letting her sudden popularity get the best of her.
